Bringing joy and a sense of achievement to the care home through shared creativity
Using the Resources
The Get Jamming subscription is designed to empower you to get jam sessions happening yourself. The audio soundscape/music tracks and videos provide an instantly usable resource for group and one to one jamming with music sessions. Select a five minute track, put it on and jam along. You can use your existing percussion resources to play along and try some clapping, vocalisations and dancing - there's so many ways to join-in with the jam.
Our online course will teach you the tools, techniques and underlying principles of the Jamming Approach.
Once you've downloaded the tracks from the store, they can be loaded onto many devices - MP3 players, IPads and tablets, and smart phones - and played through speakers (including the Alexa) either wirelessly, through a bluetooth connection, or by using an audio lead. You can also burn them onto CDR disks to use in CD players (just pop a CDR into your drive and follow the instructions from your Windows or Mac computer.) Many smart TVs have the ability to play from USB sticks and this is another option if your TV supports it. An advantage of having these tracks as downloads is that you can load them onto multiple devices to be used in different situations.
The video files can also be downloaded and played from a laptop onto a projector or TV screen, or from a USB stick directly into your projector or TV if supported by the equipment. Try playing a video as part of a group jam to open-up a more visual way of engaging for jammers. Or try playing a video on the TV in someone's room - you could have a relaxing little one to one jam right there in the bedroom.
It's beautiful to create things together.
